The goodness of allowing doubt

I have discovered that holding ideas to my heart tends to work against me.

Being too concrete in my beliefs narrows the depth of my experience as it holds me locked up only in what I know.

Becoming comfortable with a degree of uncertainty, on the other hand, opens up a monumental number of possibilities.

One day, I started examining with an open mind – people, ideas, strategies, and work practices that I would normally have rejected. They did not conform to my beliefs (which were largely based on my past experiences.)

I experimented with accepting many of them and frankly, the result has been unbelievable.

In fact, it has empowered me hugely in leading Ilantus. The rapid growth of the company in the past year has been mainly due to this.

It appears, therefore, that close-mindedness numbs possibility whereas ambiguity opens wide to infinite potential.
